Beast of Burden
I like the version of this nice song by Bette Midler. Of course the original song by The Rolling Stones is good, too. But Bette Midler gave this song her personal touch. She sings "Beast of Burden" very powerful and with lots of emotions.
So my vote goes to Bette Midler.

Comments about Beast of Burden:
The Stones have been here for a long time. Many modern bands thank their existence to them. No chubby old lady can do them justice.

wow. All I can say is this. Fuck all you Bette Midler voters. The Rolling Stones defined music and you all are ruining it. I sincerely hope you feel the need to shove your dick into a hot oven. Or for you ladies, I hope you feel the need to have intercourse with a porcupine. Seriously, you all are fucked. THIS IS BEAST OF BURDEN FOR CHRIST'S SAKE. It's basically the holy fucking grail of music! You.people.suck. its a website www.youpeoplesuck.com/lickmyass

Bette just gives the song something more that I feel the Rolling Stones don't offer in their version.

I've been a stone's fan since I was a little kid, having older brothers who loved the Rolling Stones, and Beat of Burden is one their coolest tunes. I will say Bette Midler does an awesome cover of it and I used to love to watch the video on Early MTV, when they played Rock N Roll. She's awesome but there is nothing like a song by Mick Jagger!

Give me a break...I don't see how Bette Midler's cover could be winning this contest. What a joke.

I love Bette Midler, and give her all the credit in the world, but to me, this is a classic Rolling Stones song.
