Walk On By

Despite being a fairly unremarkable song, Walk On By has come to define the career of Dionne Warwick and has spawned hundreds, if not thousands of covers in various styles (some of which, such as Isaac Hayes's version, have come to be covered or sampled in their own right). Thus, although I have no particular preference (or interest) here, no covers list could be complete without the inclusion of this work. I picked Gabrielle's version because I was turning 18 when it topped the UK charts, and so it inspires a certain nostalgia in me that the others do not.
