It can sound stranger, but I am not the walrus is not one of the best songs from the beatles. Noel Gallagher made a fantastic version, easier to be easier than the beatles´version.

Oasis are five times better than The Beatles were but Beatles fans can't seem to take this. If The Beatles were around today then they would be Oasis (but Oasis are better).

The Beatles are the best band, hands down but Oasis did make a great cover. Oasis' version has some great guitar while the Beatles is kinda slow and the vocals are too distorted if you know what I mean.
Besides, the drummer for Oasis is Richard Starkey's (Ringo Starr's) son!

Oh dear... Let's start with the realisation that the lyrics (probably the best part of the original) are squeezed practically out of earshot by the raging guitar in Oasis' version. Even in isolation, therefore, I don't like their take on it. Then I listen to the original again and there's simply no question of which is better.
