Cover vs. Original

Bohemian Rhapsody

Although this is one of the best songs ever written - by Queen or anyone, once I heard Bruce Dickinson singing this as a tribute to Freddy Mercury (Bruce is better known as singer from "Iron Maiden") I was spellbound. It is a more operatic version of it, with a soprana singing some of Freddie's lines, but some of the notes that Bruce hits, make me feel like I died and went to heaven. Every person I play this too thinks the same.

NOW WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD FIND FREDDY FROM NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET BETTER THAN THE BUSHLES

We can't compare things like that.

The music for itself is THE BEST, as if Freddie was taken for a strenght beyond himself when He composed it.

I love OPERA and love Montserrat Caballé, but FREDDIE MERCURY had the EXACTLY FEELING to sing this extraordinary song!!!

I prefer Queen.
The worst cover of this track was a rap / R&B version by The Braids.

A great cover, but unfortunately no one can beat the perfection of the original.

Indeed, it is really the best cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" so far. Although Freddie Mercury`s voice is unique, but this version is a masterpiece too. Bruce Dickinson don`t try to copy Mercury`s voice and style; he sings the song with his own admirable style and this is the point that makes this version much more than just a cover.
