I like both and there are other covers of this song including one by The Corrs and Bono. The original just sounds more believable.

That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Have you ever heard the original? Ryan Adams has one of the most versatile voices in the music business today. His version is far and away the best. What makes the other versions unique? They are basically the same thing with overproduction and inferior vocals.

I agree the Tim McGraw version is better sung and more memorable. He has got a pure country voice that blows any other version out of the water.

I like the Coors but never really liked Bono. Venke Knutson & Kurt Nilsen's version is the best. Either way, both versions easily beat Ryan Adams. He wrote a good song but has no business singing it. His vocals are horrible.

Tim McGraw's version blows both of these out of the water. This site really needs a way to compare more than two versions. At least 5 different artists recorded it.

I rarely hear a song that is better the second or third time around. The version that Ryan Adams played on Gold was and always will be the best. If you don't agree, please buy Gold and you'll hear that the whole album is full of great songs like "When the stars go blue".

how come the one tree hill version be voted as the best one? don't get it, maybe you should listen to the whole song, there's a woman singing with ryan too. and the original is by far the best..
