Soft Cell subverted the song into s more sleazy version before Manson ever got near it. Without soft cell's version he would never have covered the record, probably not even heard it. I voted for Gloria Jones out the two options but have seen the electropop version fill dancefloors for twenty years.

im sorry but i love manson bc its a dark song with a dark meaning and the origanal version is to soft and sweet its about mental abuse some one treating you wrong and abusing your kindess that you give some one you love and i know that most people have felt that pain and im sorry for being so blunt but you all are very closed minded

I'm of the opinion that Manson can ONLY do good covers., while his original stuff sucks hairy monkey's balls. I actually quite like this version of Tainted Love - very sleazy and it rocks pretty good as well. Pity Marilyn Manson's such a fucktard...
