Bad Company
I like both versions but I prefer the original. The good thing about the FFDP version is that it made more people listen to a song I consider to be a "hidden rock jewel".
Pick your choice people!

Comments about Bad Company:
I can´t imagine myselef anyone else singing this song better than Mr. Rodgers!
And when it comes to music, the short guitar/drum bridge before the chorus, so simple, but it can move the mountains! I guess, and many other people have to admit that, when it "explodes" after the harmonic and easy verse it brings out loads of emotions depending at least on your state of mind and ambience. Either you play air guitar or dreaming of being in bad company as long as you are not already in one!
It´s always fun with cover songs, one way or another, but this masterpiece is hard to beat by making it your own way!

The song in it's self is just great in any of the 2. 5FDP did it in their own style and sound real good, but I am more into the classic rock so i would give it to Bad Company but i do enjoy it one way of the other.

The Original Bad Co. rocks on as a true legendary masterpiece and as my bud Red Rocker would say, "what is understood...need not be discussed!"

The Old One is a jewel and it is the original but 5FDP's version just gives it the boost it deserves.

I'm an old grey haired lady, but I enjoyed 5fdp's version - at least as much as played on the sample....and if they support the troops, they have my vote.

The original is superior to me, with great singing and playing. Like Nicolas said, the original sets the mood very well while the cover just sounds like loud, aimless, uninspired wanking. Also, I can't stand the guy's voice.

I prefer the original song by Bad Company. For me it conjures up images of outlaws roaming the American West, while all I get out of the 5FDP version is yelling and noise.

I love both versions. It was a hard choice. I like 5FDP because they're very supportive of us troops. I loved USO tours when I was overseas; they're great for morale.
