Mr. Lonely / Lonely
The original is a classic played for many years in my house as a child and I have quite fond memories of the song, however, I have to admit that I prefer the updated version purely because I hate sampling in songs but this was quite a genius use of an old classic and I think it does the song some kind of justice that it rightly deserves.

Bobby Vinton's origonal version "Mr. Lonely" is moving and inspiring, it capured the emotions and tone of the War going on at the time and I think everyone can appreciate that.

I have respect for AKON's version, but Bobbies is far superior. The depth of a soldier feeling alone in another country fighting for our freedom is many times more painful than breaking up with a woman. If you believe that Race is the Reason for liking one over the other you are a simple mind, with no real future.

I think Bobby's song is a trillion times better than what's his face. That so called singer is a complete idiot for what he did to Bobby's song. Bobby was sining about being a "lonely soldier" not breaking up with a girl. I LOVE YOU BOBBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOBBY IS NUMBER1.
