Sweet Child O' Mine
Some think it's sacrilege, but I'm just a sucker for Sheryl Crow. I like her twangy sound over the hard rock original. Plus I like ballsy covers.

Wow...Redoing this song is like trying to make an un-funny joke funny! Maybe Cheryl Crow covered it for laughs, but you just can't shake the musty ol' basement feel off this crappy tune. Back around late '87 when these pricks when national (& I guess world-wide sadly) only pre-teens & complete dirt bags were into this shit. Nowadays this an example of a song for those whom are either uneducated rejects, or can't clap on beat. Boy oh boy, I don't miss this train-wreck of a band. Why did he insist on singing like that? What the fuck inspired such whinny shitty lyrics? Why did all those bands dress like that? Answer...they were trying to be cool & tough. Cool guys just are (ex. Dag Nasty) & there's nothing more useless than a tough guy (ex. pro wrestlers)

We can't deny the geniality and the power within Guns And Roses' version, besides, the introductory solo is like an icon in modern rock; but let's admit it: Sheryl Crow's is not that bad! Ok, there's NO way in comparing both versions, but we can't be that "purist"...She did a nice version of the song.

I can't stand Gun N' Roses but who on earth covers them in the first place?
Sheryl Crow needs to stick to her own songs.
I hate every cover she's ever done.

There are some songs you just don't get away with covering. This is definitely one of them.
