Land Of Confusion
With "Land Of Confusion" Disturbed have found the right song for a cover. More power, more rock - better than the original.

both songs are for their generations only. phil collins had a huge messaege with his and was erie and just what he wanted. but disturbed didnt want that dreamland image with their song thats why tjhey took out the phaser in the guitar and added more distiortion. both bands had a message for the people epressed differently through the same song. genesis wanted people toawaken from this dream that America is perfect and that we needed to do something. now the audience that disturbed is trying to get through isdifferent people are already away and disturbed wants them to get the message clearly that we need to stand and not just let a facist world government tell us to bend over and take it!

What? The disturbed version is good, but that is only because they covered a truly amazing band, and a truly incredible song- and kept it very close. That is why disturbed sounds so good. Genesis made it perfect, you can only credit disturbed for copying them.

I just heard this song and was absolutely appalled. I am always a fan of covers, and quite often find the new versions to be better than the originals (ie: Johnny Cash's Hurt vs NiN's Hurt). But in this case I find myself wishing I had never heard this new version as it taints the song. Its almost as bad as when country singers cover rock songs... What were they thinking?
